About the Church of Voluntaryism
A spiritual home for sovereign souls
The Church of Voluntaryism is a global spiritual fellowship for those who live by the sacred principles of peace, consent, and natural law. We are the ceremonial and spiritual expression of the voluntaryist worldview, grounded in conscience rather than coercion, in inner truth rather than external authority.
Founded under the protection of the World Voluntaryist Organisation (WVO), the Church offers a sacred path for individuals who reject domination in all its forms and choose to live with integrity, autonomy, and moral responsibility.

Our Mission
We are here to:
-
Affirm the sovereignty of the individual as sacred
-
Offer spiritual guidance to those who walk the path of peace and personal responsibility
-
Preserve and teach the Voluntaryist Covenant as a moral and spiritual compass
-
Provide ceremonies and sacred rites for life’s most meaningful transitions
-
Protect sacred ground and free communities from aggression and coercion.
We do not seek followers—we honor free individuals who choose this path consciously and voluntarily.
Our Foundations
The spiritual foundation of the Church is expressed through:
-
The Voluntaryist Covenant – our sacred text and ethical doctrine
-
Natural Law – the eternal moral order that exists beyond state or religion
-
Non-Aggression Principle – the heart of our faith, binding us to live in peace
-
Self-Ownership – the recognition of each soul as master of their own life and body.
Our doctrine is simple: all relationships must be based on voluntary consent. No person or institution may rightfully rule over another.
A Decentralized Church
The Church of Voluntaryism has no central hierarchy. It is decentralized by design, reflecting the very values we uphold. Local congregations and sacred communities form freely, bound only by shared belief in the Covenant and a commitment to peace.
Each congregation is autonomous. Each member is sovereign. The Church exists not to rule, but to serve those who walk this spiritual path.
Spiritual Leadership
The Church was founded by:
-
John Liberstad, First Preacher and Spiritual Leader
-
Sabrina Liberstad, Guardian of Life and Land
Together they guide the doctrine, ceremonies, and global vision of the Church, while empowering others to take up the role of spiritual stewardship in their own communities.
Global Alignment
The Church of Voluntaryism is the spiritual branch of the World Voluntaryist Organisation (WVO), which protects the philosophical and human rights foundation of the voluntaryist life stance. While WVO upholds voluntaryism in the world, the Church sanctifies it in the soul.
We Welcome You
Whether you are seeking personal transformation, a sacred rite, or a global community of peace-minded individuals—you are welcome here.
To live as a voluntaryist is to live as a sovereign soul in harmony with truth, nature, and others.
The Church exists to support you on that path.
Stewards of the Church
The Church of Voluntaryism is guided by those who have committed their lives to the protection of peace, conscience, and spiritual sovereignty. These stewards serve not as rulers, but as caretakers—guarding the sacred principles of voluntaryism, upholding the Covenant, and supporting all who walk the path of truth and non-aggression.
