Decentralized Identifiers
In the unfree world, individuals, organizations, and companies are officially registered as legal entities under government jurisdiction. This registration implies that these entities are subject to government control and regulation, categorizing them as unfree.
In contrast, within the New Free World, individuals, organizations, or companies have the capacity to create entirely new identities, enabling them to function as two separate and parallel entities.
WVO's Unique ID System - Empowering Individual Freedom
In the New Free World, the World Voluntaryist Organization (WVO) has introduced a pioneering identification system, setting it apart from traditional government-issued IDs. This system, referred to as DIDs or Decentralized Identities, embodies the fundamental principles of individual freedom and self-sovereignty that are at the core of this emerging society.
Why DIDs?
The decision to adopt DIDs over government-issued IDs is rooted in the understanding that government IDs are inherently tied to the legal entity within conventional states. WVO and the New Free World, with their distinct legal framework and steadfast commitment to personal liberty, necessitated a novel approach to identification.
It's crucial to recognize that these two distinct identities are not compatible with each other due to the fundamental differences in principles and regulations that govern these two worlds.
Self-Creation and Control
WVO's ID system empowers individuals to independently create and manage their own identities, free from reliance on any central authority or institution. This hands-on approach to identification places the power firmly in the hands of each person, reinforcing the principles of self-determination and autonomy.
Applications of DIDs
WVO's DIDs serve a wide array of purposes within the society, including:
-
Identification of Individuals: DIDs provide a secure and decentralized means of identifying individuals within the New Free World, ensuring personal freedom and self-sovereignty are preserved.
-
Organizations and Companies: DIDs extend their utility to organizations and companies, allowing them to maintain distinct identities in alignment with the New Free World's principles.
-
Entire Communities: In a society where there is no centralized authority, DIDs become an essential tool for identifying and distinguishing entire communities, reflecting the decentralized nature of the New Free World.
Preserving Individual Freedom
WVO's parallel ID system stands as a powerful symbol of the society's unwavering commitment to individual freedom. By disconnecting the government-issued legal persona from the free individual identity within the New Free World, DIDs ensure that people can engage in the community's vibrant and dynamic social, economic, and legal spheres without sacrificing their autonomy.
In essence, WVO's unique ID system represents a profound departure from traditional models of identification, offering a glimpse into a world where self-sovereignty and personal freedom are the guiding principles in every aspect of life."
Creating your own DID
To become a member of WVO, you'll require a DID. You can generate your own DID using various software tools. WVO is actively partnering with City Chain Labs, which has developed a wallet for both creating and securely storing your DID. The Free City Wallet from City Chain Labs is a non custodial crypto wallet that do not require any downloads or installation. Simply navigate to wallet.city-chain.org to start the process of creating your own DID.
When you create a DID within the wallet, the keys to your identity are safely encrypted and stored in your wallet. It's important to note that, as the sole owner of your DID, you bear the responsibility for safeguarding and securing the keys to your identity.
The Free City Wallet allows you to receive, store, and send citycoins, the native cryptocurrency on the City Chain Blockchain. Citycoins serve as a freely traded currency actively utilized for transactions and payments of goods and services within The New Free World.
Free City Platform
WVO is actively collaborating with various open source projects to provide software systems and digital infrastructures. One of these projects is the Free City Platform that is a project dedicated to develop digital systems for the New Free World. You can read more about Free City Platform here.
